Last Saturday, Julie invited me along to see Luke Combs and Jason Aldean in concert. Despite it being 101* outside, of course I said YES to the opportunity for a girls’ night, sushi dinner, and country music! Plus, Julie and I have an amazing agreement: she gets the tickets and I drive to downtown Dallas!

As soon as I saw the selfie boards at 99.5 The Wolf’s promo tent, I ran right over for pictures. They had a giant cut-out of Jason attached to the tent that looked like it absolutely HAD to be included. A double dose of Jason Aldean is always in season.

And a silly photo with Jason is required too … even if we’re both staring into the Dallas sky watching Southwest airplanes fly over Fair Park!

The High Noon Neon Tour is headlined by Jason Aldean but also features Luke Combs and Lauren Alaina.

The show opened with Lauren Alaina, American Idol’s 10th season runner-up and ACM New Female Vocalist of 2018. Two of my favorite songs of hers are Road Less Traveled and Georgia Peaches.

I admitted to Julie when she invited me to this concert that I was not familiar with Luke Combs‘ music but once I realized he sang Hurricane and One Number Away, I knew exactly who he is! He’s a good ole North Carolina boy living the country high life. My absolute favorite song of his is When It Rains, we all know a toxic person who “takes out the trash” when they disappear from our lives!!! This song is obviously popular has it’s been viewed on YouTube more than 102 MILLION times.

This was my second time seeing Jason Aldean in Dallas and he DOES NOT disappoint. He performs two solid hours singing some of his most popular and my favorite songs, including Dirt Road Anthem, Fly Over States, Big Green Tractor, They Don’t Know, Crazy Town and, my favorite, She’s Country.

One of the coolest moments of the entire show was Jason’s surprise announcement that a country legend was joining him on stage … notice the guy wearing the yellow shirt

Yes, that is RANDY TRAVIS and his wife Mary on stage with Jason Aldean!!!!!!! The crowd went wild, such a touching tribute to a country star. My favorite song of his is, and always will be, I Told You So.

Julie, THANK YOU for another fabulous night. Love you to the moon and back.
