The weather reports have been predicting severe storms and heavy rain for a couple of days now and, sure enough, it arrived with a vengeance this evening. I got home from school around 4:30 and the wind was blowing like crazy and it was a balmy 81 degrees. By the time I had prepared our dinner, the clouds were black-as-coal and it was significantly cooler.

The rain is certainly welcomed as far as I’m concerned. It’s nice to see green grass in our yard and pasture. Plus, the ground is so saturated that the run-off should raise area lake levels just in time for summer.

Let it rain.

Let it pour.

Thank you, Lord, for this liquid blessing.
