Finish This #55

FINISHTHIS2015

I’m becoming more and more like my mother because …

Oh gosh, I’ve been becoming more and more like my mother since the day I was born – much to my teenage self’s dismay! The saying is true that our parents gets smarter and more wise the older we get, and I think this is especially true once you become a parent yourself. Basically, my parents were/are geniuses. HA!!!!

I think I look a lot like my mom. Some of our mannerisms are the same and we both wear our hearts on our sleeve. We both love to travel, exploring newย places and things, and we’ll jump in the car or board a plane at the drop of a hat. We love being with friends and family, and our primary love language is feeding those whom we love.

Ways my mom and I are not alike: she’s short and petite, but makes the perfect arm rest for me! She thinks I have road rage and drive too fast. I have dirty clothes in the hamper and that drives her nuts. Or, even better, I leave clothes in the dryer to fold later. Ahh, she cringes! She also thinks I cuss like a sailor. Which, if the situation calls for it, I’m not afraid to enhance the conversation with stronger language. Pfft.

Love you, Mom! (And thanks for coming to Texas to spend a long weekend with us. I’m sorry the allergies were so bad and we’ve all been sneezing and hacking like a bunch of sick folk but we really love and appreciate you.)

Cheers to 2015 – thanks (again!) for participating in this weekly link up and supporting my shenanigans. Bloggers, don’t forget to add your post to the link up through the link below. ๐Ÿ™‚

I so love this tiny woman who has changed, in my life over the years, from Miss Charlotte – the ambassador to KY – to Nana C, family member.

Your mom and my mom sound quite alike! Except my mom doesn’t cook, but she feeds me with salads and sandwiches from Panera. ๐Ÿ™‚

HA! Oh my gosh, my mom will tell you, she’d rather feed an army of 1,000 hungry men that paint, wallpaper, etc. She’s definitely a cooker. ๐Ÿ˜€

Its definitely interesting to see how I’m becoming like my mom as I’m now a mother myself!

Aimee, it’s amazing (and humbling) how much I love and admire my mom even MORE the moment Kamden was born. Wow, becoming a mom definitely catapults you into “become like your mother” territory!!!!!!!!
