Back in April, with some arm-twisting, Kimberly asked me to co-host her Blogger Book Swap. I co-hosted the first swap event and I knew I would participate in the second, so it was a pretty easy decision to make. Kimberly is an amazing young woman, beautiful wife, loving mom to two fur babies, and she is also a veteran. The woman is all that and a bag of chips, not to mention a fabulous blog buddy.
This time around, I met even more fabulous co-hosts and was paired with Nina. She is amazing, even though she hates bacon. I’m not even joking. We had a lengthy discussion about her distaste for pork fat at the beginning of this adventure and happily agreed that she would eat all the ice cream I cannot as long as I get the bacon she detests. It’s a match made in food heaven! Nina has been a wonderful swap partner and I’m grateful for her patience as I endured a week-long hiatus from blogging and social media with gall stones (not for the faint of heart, seriously!) and many, MANY questions about her likes and dislikes. She’s a doll for sure!
Not only did Nina send me TWO books, but she included my favorite sweet treat: Skittles. Confession: I ate the bag of Skittles Nina sent me and had to buy another one for this photo.
I hope you enjoy the books I chose for you. I have read both and I enjoyed them a lot! Thanks for being such an awesome swap partner, I really liked getting to know you and I love your blog. Happy Reading!
What’s even better than Skittles? BACON!!!!!!!!
Okay y’all, another confession: I did not know this bacon bookmark was inside one of the books until Nina posted a comment. I feel so bad but so honored she would send me pork fat that won’t go straight to my hips! She is the greatest bacon-hater in all of the world. I love this girl. =)
I’m really looking forward to reading these two books Nina chose for me. She has been a wonderful swap partner and I really enjoy her blog too. As for Kimberly, she is the hostess with the mostess and I don’t know how she does what she does on a daily basis, not to mention all the blogging events she creates and hosts. No doubt about it, I’m in really great company with these ladies!
