In the refined world. it’s Le Creuset.
In my neck of the woods, it’s Lay Crew Say.
However you spell it or pronounce it, Le Creuset is French cookware brand known for its premium cast iron, stoneware, silicone, stainless steel, and textiles.
For me, Lay Crew Say is very pretty cookware with a lifetime warranty, excellent heat distribution, and did I mention it was gorgeous?! I have several cast iron and stoneware pieces in a variety of colors, including flame (the brand’s trademark color since 1925), cherry red, indigo blue, Dijon yellow, kiwi green, Caribbean blue, and Cassis purple. But my most recent acquisition of Le Creuset is shiny. =) For our sixth anniversary, Husband bought me a stainless steel cookware set.
The traditional sixth anniversary gift is iron. In keeping with tradition, I got a 10-inch cast iron grill pan and a regular 12-inch iron skillet too. It’s important to keep with tradition, right?! I also got a large silicone trivet mat, spoonula (a cross between a large dipping spoon and a spatula), and mini French ovens with lids for storing sea salt and pepper near the stove.
What’s the best gift you’ve received? Tell me in a comment.
Husband, thank you for the fabulous anniversary present. I love you muchly. ~Your Woman =)
