Bourbon & Boots

I recently discovered the Holy Grail of all things Southern: Bourbon & Boots.

A bunch of southern men (and one Yankee …. bless his heart) have created a website dedicated to small-batch, high-quality, unique products made in the South. This discovery makes me happier than a pig in slop. Afterall, I fit the target consumer of this website: not only do I love the South, but I was born and raised here. I value the tradespeople that produce quality items. Finally, above all, I value family and hospitality — two qualities the guys from B&B really appreciate. From the wonderful collection of Southern Stories to a wide array of unique products, I’m definitely going to be spending time (and a small fortune) at B&B. I hope Santa reads this blog post too, because I’ve included a few of my top picks:

 Y’all Necklace ~ $42.00                                        Jesus T-shirt ~ $22.00

I think it goes without saying that I love this necklace. My favorite word is even dressed up with a pearl. =)  As for the t-shirt, it’s funny …. and true. I believe in holy spirits. Jesus *DID* turn water into wine.

            Kentucky Sign ~ $29.00                          Johnny Cash Necklace ~ $42.00

I love anything with Kentucky on it.  As a tried-and-true Southern, I’m a fan of Johnny Cash and I know how to shoot too.

Rewined Candle ~ $27.00                Mother Shucker Oyster Knife ~ $40.00

Repurposed bottles filled with wax smelling like Pinot, count me in!  Holy Moses, this oyster knife is mother-shuckin’ serious.

Belle Chevre Goat Cheese ~ $28.00             Moonshine Cologne ~ $80.00

While I don’t drink goat’s milk, I do love goat’s milk cheese.  This cologne has piqued my interest as it’s described as a *real man’s* cologne. Mmmk.

I think I better go and get started on baking and cooking for Santa. Mama always said the best way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. The Santa that I know likes roast and tators, tenderloin, brisket, and lemon cookies, red velvet cupcakes, and granola bars.

This post is not in any way associated with a paid promotion or advertisement for Bourbon & Boots. These guys, probably Arkansas Razorback fans, don’t know who I am or that I even exist on this planet as a true blue University of Kentucky Wildcat fan. (Bless their hearts.) I’m just sharing this information in hopes that someone might be interested … and Santa finds my wish-list before December 24. Amen.

Hilariously cute! I love the pearl detail, and the gun details. Hahaha.
The Jesus shirt is awesome! Did you watch that episode of Ellen? You may not know this, but that quote is from (or used by) an old lady who called Ellen one time, and Ellen called her back a few times. The woman is HILARIOUS. PLEASE look up Ellen and Gladys vids on YouTube. SO funny!
The oyster knife… I would’ve never guessed what it was!

I don’t watch Ellen much, especially during the school year since I’m not home in the afternoons but I love watching her on YouTube. I will definitely check this out when I get home later today. =)

I know, right?!?! I’ve been saying for a couple of years now that I want a unique necklace and I’ve found several (including these) that I like. Husband says, “Get what you want.” but I never do. Why don’t I spend money on myself?!?!
